Who We Are & Why We Built This
Our Mission
What OpiCalc Is
OpiCalc is a free, open-access clinical decision-support platform built for healthcare professionals who need accurate calculations at the point of care. We provide medical calculators and dosing tools grounded in published clinical research, written and reviewed by physicians.
We built OpiCalc because clinicians deserve infrastructure that works as fast as they think. Too many tools are slow, bloated, or locked behind institutional paywalls. That shouldn't be the case for something as fundamental as a dosing calculator.
What We Stand For
Speed
Clinical decisions happen in seconds. Our tools are built to keep up. No loading screens, no friction, no lag at the bedside.
Privacy
Your clinical inputs stay on your device. We do not transmit, store, or process patient data on our servers.
Access
Good clinical tools should not depend on hospital budgets. OpiCalc is free for every clinician, at every institution, everywhere.
Clinical Direction
OpiCalc is directed by Dr. Jjingo Farouk, a practicing clinician who oversees the medical integrity and engineering standards of the platform.
Every calculator, formula, and clinical logic rule in our registry is verified against primary source literature before it goes live. We check our work against current guidelines from bodies including NEJM, The Lancet, and relevant specialty governing organizations.
The platform is designed by people who use clinical tools daily. That shapes how results are displayed and how quickly the interface responds heavy usage.

LinkedInHow We Stay Free
Keeping OpiCalc free requires a sustainable model. We do not charge clinicians, and we do not compromise clinical objectivity to satisfy advertisers.
We pursue selective partnerships with organizations whose goals align with ours — academic medical institutions, clinical societies, health-tech companies, and life sciences organizations who understand what responsible infrastructure looks like. Any partner working with OpiCalc must meet our standards for clinical integrity and user privacy.
Sustainability is not a commercial ambition. It is what allows us to keep the standard free for clinicians who need it most, regardless of where they work.
Partnerships
Work With Us
If your organization is building toward the future of clinical infrastructure, we want to hear from you. We work with partners in academic medicine, clinical societies, health-tech, and life sciences.
Our Commitments
Clinical Integrity
Every formula in our registry is verified against primary literature from NEJM, The Lancet, and specialty governing bodies before publication. We do not publish unverified tools.
Data Sovereignty
Clinical inputs are processed locally and never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Your practice data belongs to you, not to us.
