The DASH measures the WHO "Activity and Participation" dimension, focusing on the patient's perceived disability rather than joint-specific symptoms.
DASH Disability/Symptom Score = [( (Sum of n responses) / n ) - 1] x 25
n = number of completed responses (minimum 27 required)
Unlike many sports scores, a HIGHER DASH score indicates GREATER DISABILITY. 0 = no disability, 100 = extreme disability.
