Mechanism of Action
8-HOUR BAYER

Irreversibly acetylates cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), inhibiting prostaglandin and thromboxane A2 synthesis, leading to analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and antiplatelet effects.

CHLORZOXAZONE

Chlorzoxazone acts centrally on the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain to inhibit multisynaptic reflex arcs involved in producing and maintaining muscle spasm. It may also have some sedative effects.
