It also induces lipocortin synthesis, inhibits phospholipase A2, and reduces immune cell activity.
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, leading to inhibition of DNA replication and transcription.
Initial 4-48 mg/day oral in divided doses, tapered. For pulse therapy: 1 g IV daily for 3 days.
