Mechanism of Action
A-POXIDE

GABA-A receptor positive allosteric modulator; increases chloride ion influx and neuronal hyperpolarization.

INJECTAPAP

Acetaminophen is a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic; its exact mechanism is not fully understood but involves inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes in the central nervous system and modulation of descending serotonergic pathways. It does not have significant anti-inflammatory activity.

Standard Dosing
A-POXIDE

1 g intravenous every 6 hours or 650 mg intravenous every 4 hours; maximum 4 g per day.
