Mechanism of Action
ABILIFY ASIMTUFII

Aripiprazole is a partial agonist at D2 and 5-HT1A receptors and an antagonist at 5-HT2A receptors. The active metabolite, dehydro-aripiprazole, contributes to the pharmacological activity. Abilify Asimtufii is a long-acting injectable formulation for intramuscular use.

ALLZITAL

Allzital contains phenobarbital, a barbiturate that enhances GABA-A receptor activity by increasing the duration of chloride ion channel opening, leading to neuronal hyperpolarization and inhibition of neurotransmission.

Standard Dosing

Risk of respiratory depression, particularly with rapid IV administration or excessive doses; co-administration with CNS depressants (e.g., opioids, alcohol) may exacerbate this effect. Use in pregnancy may cause fetal harm (teratogenic effects).

ABILIFY ASIMTUFII (aripiprazole) is a long-acting injectable suspension for intramuscular use. Administer only by a healthcare professional. Observe patient for 2 hours post-injection due to risk of post-injection delirium/sedation syndrome. Requires 3 consecutive daily doses of oral aripiprazole (10-20 mg) before initiation to confirm tolerability. Dosing: 441 mg IM monthly (equates to 400 mg aripiprazole). Do not substitute with other aripiprazole formulations on a mg-per-mg basis. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to aripiprazole.

ALLZITAL

ALLZITAL is a combination analgesic containing acetaminophen and tramadol. Monitor for serotonin syndrome when used with other serotonergic drugs. Avoid in patients with severe hepatic impairment or acute alcohol intoxication. Maximum daily acetaminophen dose is 4000 mg; reduce in hepatic risk. Tramadol may lower seizure threshold; use cautiously in epilepsy. Not recommended in breastfeeding due to tramadol excretion. Adjust dose in renal impairment (Cr Cl <30 m L/min: extended interval).
