Mechanism of Action
ACCURBRON

Ipratropium bromide is an anticholinergic agent that inhibits muscarinic acetylcholine receptors (M1-M3), reducing vagal tone and bronchoconstriction. Albuterol is a beta2-adrenergic agonist that stimulates adenylate cyclase, increasing c AMP and causing bronchodilation.

NASALIDE

Corticosteroid that reduces inflammation by inhibiting phospholipase A2, decreasing arachidonic acid release, and suppressing prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis.

High-fat meals can increase absorption of theophylline; take on an empty stomach or with light snack for consistent effect. Avoid large amounts of charcoal-broiled foods as they may decrease drug levels. Caffeine-containing foods and beverages (coffee, tea, cola, chocolate) can potentiate side effects such as nervousness, tremor, and insomnia.
