Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is a non-opioid analgesic and antipyretic. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), reducing prostaglandin synthesis, leading to anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. Pseudoephedrine is a sympathomimetic amine that acts as a vasoconstrictor via alpha-adrenergic receptors in nasal mucosa, reducing nasal congestion.
Oral: 400 mg every 4-6 hours as needed for pain; maximum 1200 mg/day.
1-2 tablets (each containing ibuprofen 200 mg and pseudoephedrine 30 mg) orally every 4-6 hours as needed; maximum daily dose: 6 tablets (ibuprofen 1200 mg, pseudoephedrine 180 mg).
