Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, decreasing synthesis of prostaglandins, which reduces pain and inflammation.
One caplet (ibuprofen 250 mg and acetaminophen 500 mg) orally every 8 hours while symptoms persist; maximum: 3 caplets per day.
