Aminosyn-HF 8% is a crystalline amino acid solution that provides essential and non-essential amino acids for protein synthesis, promoting nitrogen balance and tissue repair in patients unable to tolerate oral intake.
Intravenous infusion: 1 to 1.5 g/kg/day (equivalent to 10 to 15 mL/kg/day of 10% solution) for adult patients with normal nutritional status; adjust based on metabolic needs.

The terminal elimination half-life of individual amino acids varies (1–4 hours) depending on metabolic demand and renal function.
