Bacteriostatic sodium chloride 0.9% is an isotonic solution used as a diluent or vehicle for medications. Sodium chloride provides osmotic balance and acts as a source of electrolytes. Magnesium sulfate provides magnesium ions, which are essential for various physiological processes.
