Betamethasone acetate and betamethasone sodium phosphate are corticosteroids that bind to the glucocorticoid receptor, leading to modulation of gene expression and suppression of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Fluticasone propionate is a corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. It binds to the glucocorticoid receptor, leading to inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines, reduction of eosinophil recruitment, and suppression of airway hyperresponsiveness.
