It also activates the mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) with lower affinity, contributing to electrolyte and fluid balance effects.
Competitive antagonist of histamine H1 receptors; inhibits histamine-mediated vasodilation, increased capillary permeability, and bronchoconstriction in allergic reactions.
10-20 mg orally every 8 hours as needed for nasal congestion.
