Selective inhibitor of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH), increasing levels of epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs), which have vasodilatory, anti-inflammatory, and antifibrotic effects.
Oxaprozin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis, which results in anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.
1 g intravenous every 6 hours.
600-1200 mg orally once daily; maximum 1800 mg/day.
