Glucocorticoid receptor agonist; modulates gene expression to inhibit inflammatory mediators, vasoconstriction, and immunosuppression.
Nystatin binds to ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, forming pores that cause leakage of intracellular contents and cell death. Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid that binds to glucocorticoid receptors, modulating gene expression to reduce inflammation, immune response, and vasodilation.
Apply a thin layer to affected skin areas once or twice daily. Therapy should be discontinued when control is achieved; if no improvement is seen within 2 weeks, reassessment of diagnosis may be necessary.
Apply thin layer to affected area twice daily for 2-4 weeks. Topical only.

Systemic absorption of triamcinolone acetonide after topical application is minimal (<1%).
