Delta-dome agents, likely referring to delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) analogs or synthetic cannabinoids, act as partial agonists at cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2. FLORONE E contains diflorasone diacetate, a corticosteroid that induces phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins (lipocortins), inhibiting arachidonic acid release and reducing prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis, resulting in anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects.
Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection of 0.5 to 1 mL (5-10 mg/mL) every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
