EOHILIA vs NYSTATIN AND TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE

EOHILIA (budesonide) is a corticosteroid with potent glucocorticoid activity and weak mineralocorticoid activity. It binds to the glucocorticoid receptor, leading to inhibition of inflammatory mediators such as cytokines and arachidonic acid metabolites, thereby reducing inflammation in the esophagus.
Nystatin binds to ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, forming pores that cause leakage of intracellular contents and cell death. Triamcinolone acetonide is a corticosteroid that binds to glucocorticoid receptors, modulating gene expression to reduce inflammation, immune response, and vasodilation.
For adults: 0.5 mg/kg IV every 2 weeks, infused over 60 minutes. Maximum single dose: 40 mg.
Apply thin layer to affected area twice daily for 2-4 weeks. Topical only.
