EUTHROID-1 (levothyroxine) is a thyroid hormone replacement. Levothyroxine itself is not teratogenic; the FDA pregnancy category is A. No increased risk of congenital malformations has been reported with therapeutic doses. The American Academy of Pediatrics considers levothyroxine compatible with breastfeeding.
