The terminal elimination half-life of fluticasone propionate after intravenous administration is approximately 7.8 hours. Fluticasone propionate is eliminated primarily via hepatic metabolism and subsequent renal excretion. Following oral administration, approximately 87-90% of the dose is excreted in feces as metabolites, with less than 5% excreted unchanged in urine. After intranasal administration, the swallowed portion undergoes first-pass metabolism, and systemic absorption is minimal; the eliminated fraction follows the same pattern.
