Fluticasone propionate is a synthetic trifluorinated corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory activity. Methylprednisolone sodium succinate is a glucocorticoid that binds to the glucocorticoid receptor, leading to modulation of gene expression. It suppresses inflammation by inhibiting phospholipase A2, reducing prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis; it also decreases cytokine production and immune cell activity.
