Methylprednisolone acetate is a synthetic glucocorticoid that binds to the glucocorticoid receptor, modulating gene expression to suppress inflammation, immune response, and adrenal function. 0.1-0.2 mg/kg intravenously once.
40-80 mg intramuscular (IM) or intra-articular (IA) injection; for IM use, dose may be repeated every 1-4 weeks as needed. Maximum single IM dose: 120 mg.
