Isolyte S with Dextrose 5% is an intravenous solution providing electrolytes and calories. Dextrose supplies glucose for cellular energy metabolism, while electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride, acetate, gluconate) maintain acid-base balance and osmotic pressure.
