LIBRELEASE is a novel therapeutic agent that modulates neurotransmitter release by binding to presynaptic voltage-gated calcium channels, specifically the alpha-2-delta subunit, thereby reducing calcium influx and subsequent neurotransmitter exocytosis. This results in decreased neuronal excitability and modulation of pain pathways.
Nayzilam (midazolam) is a benzodiazepine that enhances the effect of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABA-A receptor, resulting in increased chloride ion conductance, neuronal hyperpolarization, and inhibition of neuronal activity.
10 mg once daily, oral, administered in the morning.
5 mg intranasally as a single dose; may repeat once after 10 minutes if needed. Maximum 10 mg per episode.
