MENEST

Menest is a conjugated estrogens formulation that binds to estrogen receptors (ERα and ERβ), activating genomic signaling pathways that regulate gene transcription. Estrogens increase the risk of endometrial carcinoma in postmenopausal women. Unopposed estrogen use increases the risk of endometrial hyperplasia and carcinoma. Estrogens should not be used in women with undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding. Estrogens with or without progestins should not be used for the prevention of cardiovascular disease or dementia. Estrogens increase the risk of venous thromboembolism, stroke, and myocardial infarction.
