Metahydrin (trichlormethiazide) is a thiazide diuretic that inhibits the sodium-chloride symporter (NCC) in the distal convoluted tubule of the nephron, reducing sodium and chloride reabsorption and increasing excretion of water, sodium, chloride, and potassium.
RESNIBEN is a selective inhibitor of the sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2), reducing renal glucose reabsorption and lowering blood glucose levels independently of insulin.
Oral, 50-100 mg once daily. Maximum 200 mg/day.
1 mg orally once daily, increased to 2 mg once daily based on response and tolerability; maximum 2 mg daily.
