METI-DERM vs PREDNICARBATE

METI-DERM contains methylprednisolone aceponate, a corticosteroid that binds to glucocorticoid receptors, modulating gene expression to inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines, phospholipase A2, and prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing inflammation, pruritus, and vasodilation.
Prednicarbate is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It binds to glucocorticoid receptors, leading to inhibition of phospholipase A2, decreased release of arachidonic acid, and reduced synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes.
Apply a thin film topically to affected area once or twice daily.
Topical: apply sparingly to affected area twice daily; maximum 50 g per week.
