PULMOTECH MAA is a biologic agent that selectively inhibits the interleukin-5 (IL-5) signaling pathway by binding to the IL-5 receptor alpha subunit on the surface of eosinophils, thereby blocking eosinophil maturation, activation, and survival. This reduces eosinophil-mediated inflammation in the airways.
Strontium-89 is a calcium mimetic that localizes to bone, particularly areas of increased osteoblastic activity, emitting beta radiation that causes DNA damage and cell death in metastatic tumor cells.
4 mg IV every 6 hours; administer over 30 minutes.
148 MBq (4 mCi) intravenously over 1-2 minutes, single dose. Repeat after 3-6 months if needed.
