Mechanism of Action
SEIZALAM

Binds to benzodiazepine site on GABA-A receptors, enhancing chloride ion conductance and neuronal hyperpolarization.

CHLORZOXAZONE

Chlorzoxazone acts centrally on the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain to inhibit multisynaptic reflex arcs involved in producing and maintaining muscle spasm. It may also have some sedative effects.

SEIZALAM (midazolam) is a short-acting benzodiazepine used for acute seizure control. Administer IV/IM; intranasal formulation available. Onset within 2-5 minutes.
