Aldoril D50 is a combination of methyldopa and hydrochlorothiazide. Excessive potassium intake (e.g., salt substitutes, bananas, oranges) may be needed if hypokalemia is present, but monitor potassium levels. Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is Pregnancy Category B in first trimester and Category D in second/third trimesters. Methyldopa (M) is Category B.
