Levodopa is converted to dopamine in the brain, replenishing depleted dopamine levels in the striatum, improving motor function. Carbidopa inhibits peripheral decarboxylation of levodopa, increasing its central availability.
Hyaluronidase degradation of interstitial hyaluronan, increasing tissue permeability to facilitate fluid dispersion and drug absorption.
200 mg orally once daily, taken with food.
Epinephrine 0.3 mg intramuscularly (into anterolateral thigh) every 5-15 minutes as needed for anaphylaxis.
