Local anesthetic that reversibly blocks sodium ion channels in neuronal membranes, preventing the generation and propagation of action potentials.

AMVAZ (amivantamab-vmjw) is a bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets the extracellular domains of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET). Alphacaine Hydrochloride is an amide-type local anesthetic similar to lidocaine. Onset of action is 2-5 minutes with duration of 30-120 minutes depending on concentration and use of epinephrine. It is hepatically metabolized (CYP3A4) and renally excreted. Dose adjustment required in hepatic impairment. Risk of methemoglobinemia, especially in infants and patients on sulfonamides. Do not exceed maximum doses: 4.5 mg/kg plain, 7 mg/kg with epinephrine.

AMVAZ

AMVAZ (amiodarone) has a long half-life (up to 107 days) and can cause thyroid, pulmonary, hepatic, and skin toxicity. Monitor thyroid function (TSH, T3, T4), liver enzymes (ALT, AST), and perform baseline pulmonary function tests and chest X-ray. Corneal microdeposits are common and may cause visual halos; usually reversible. Administer loading dose to achieve therapeutic effect more quickly. Avoid use with grapefruit juice as it increases drug levels.
