Pregnant Women
Treatment
1.
Threatened
Bed rest. Paracetamol 1g every 6-8 hours for 5 days. Avoid strenuous activity/sex for 14 days.
2.
Incomplete
Misoprostol 600 mcg sublingual stat. Evacuate uterus by Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) if <16 weeks.
3.
Incomplete with Infection
Ceftriaxone 2g IV stat + Metronidazole 500mg IV stat. Follow with oral Amoxicillin 500mg + Metronidazole 400mg 8 hourly for 7 days.
4.
Ectopic Pregnancy (Suspected)
Establish IV access (Normal Saline). Urgent referral for surgical management.
