Alcohol Use Disorders — Uganda (General Adult population)
Alcohol Dependence
Counselling and education. Thiamine 100 mg daily for at least two weeks. Facilitate cessation if willing.
Detoxification (Inpatient)
Treat withdrawal with Diazepam. Monitor for Wernicke's encephalopathy. Refer to AA groups.
