Pregnant Women
Treatment
1.
Booking Visit (<14 weeks)
Confirm gestation, take medical/obstetric history, general exam (BP, SFH). Screen for Syphilis (RPR), HIV, Hb, HBsAg, Blood group.
2.
Routine Prophylaxis
Give Iron (200mg) + Folic acid (400mcg) daily. Give TT1 vaccination.
3.
Malaria Prophylaxis
Start IPTp with Sulphadoxine/Pyrimethamine (SP) after 13 weeks gestation.
4.
High Risk Criteria
Identify extremes of age (<18, >35), primigravida, high parity (5+), BMI >30, or history of C-section/obstructed labour.
