Dyspepsia — Uganda (General Adult population)
Clinical Features
Upper abdominal discomfort >2-4 weeks. Epigastric pain, heartburn, bloating, early satiety, repeated belching/regurgitation, nausea.
Red Flag (Alarm Features)
Requires endoscopy referral: Dysphagia, Odynophagia (in HIV negative), weight loss, abdominal mass, cervical lymphadenopathy, evidence of upper GI bleeding, iron deficiency anaemia, recurrent vomiting, or new symptoms in >40 years.
