General Adult
Diagnosis

Clinical Features
Fatigue, weight loss, enlarged liver (initially), ascites, distension of abdominal vessels, enlarged spleen. Decompensated: Jaundice, Encephalopathy, Ascites, Bleeding varices.
2.
Investigations
APRI score > 2 is diagnostic. Endoscopy for varices. US, LFTs, PT/INR.
Treatment
1.
General Management
Refer to regional hospital. Stop alcohol. Treat cause (start antivirals if Hep B). Avoid herbs and self-medication.
