Pediatric
Treatment
1.
Danger Signs
Not feeding well, convulsions, fast breathing (>60/min), severe chest indrawing, fever (>37.5°C) or low temp (<35.5°C), lethargy.
2.
First Dose Antibiotics
Ampicillin 50 mg/kg IM + Gentamicin 5 mg/kg IM (if <7 days) or 7.5 mg/kg IM (if >7 days).
3.
Emergency
Treat to prevent low blood sugar (breastfeed or sugar water). Keep baby warm. Refer URGENTLY to hospital.
