General Measures
Weight reduction, activity, regular exercise, walking aids. Paracetamol 1 g every 8 hours.
Acute/Severe Pain
NSAID (Ibuprofen or Diclofenac) for brief periods OR Diclofenac 1% gel OR Intra-articular steroids (Triamcinolone) by specialist (max 4x/year).
