Pediatric
Treatment
1.
Severe Pneumonia
Any danger sign OR stridor in calm child OR SpO2 <90%. Give 1st dose Ampicillin 50 mg/kg IM + Gentamicin 7.5 mg/kg IM. Refer URGENTLY.
2.
Pneumonia (Fast Breathing)
Chest indrawing OR Fast breathing (2-12mo: ≥50/min, 1-5yrs: ≥40/min). Give oral Amoxicillin DT 40 mg/kg twice daily for 5 days.
3.
Cough or Cold
No signs of pneumonia. No antibiotics needed. Soothe throat with safe remedy. Follow up in 5 days.
