Diagnosis and treatment protocols for Preterm Labour and PPROM in Uganda

Foetal Lung Maturity (24-34 weeks)

Dexamethasone 6 mg IM every 12 hours for 4 doses.

Tocolysis

Nifedipine 10 mg sublingual every 15 mins (max 40 mg in 1st hour), then 60-160 mg daily for max 48 hours.

Antibiotics (PPROM)

Erythromycin 250 mg + Amoxicillin 500 mg 8 hourly until delivery.
