Clinical management of Sinusitis (Acute) in Uganda

Supportive

Steam inhalation, nasal irrigation with normal saline, paracetamol for pain.

Bacterial (Symptoms >1 week)

Amoxicillin 500 mg (Child: 15 mg/kg) every 8 hours for 7-10 days.

Dental Focus

Extract tooth and give Amoxicillin + Metronidazole.
