Histological Precision

Why DS-GPA?

The original GPA treated all brain metastases the same. However, research showed that a patient with breast cancer and brain mets has a vastly different prognosis than a patient with lung cancer. The DS-GPA refines the scoring by selecting the most relevant prognostic factors for each specific cancer type. For example, in Lung Cancer, EGFR/ALK status is included, while in Breast Cancer, HER2 status is paramount.
