AREDS Classification

Category 1: No or few small drusen (<63µm)

Category 2 (Early): Many small drusen or few intermediate drusen (63-124µm)

Category 3 (Intermediate): At least one large druse (>125µm) or extensive intermediate drusen

Category 4 (Advanced): Geographic atrophy or neovascular AMD
