When to Use

When to Use

Preoperative calculation of Intraocular Lens (IOL) spherical power for standard cataract surgery.
Exceptionally suited for myopic eyes with axial lengths > 26.00 mm.
Applicable for standard optical biometry cases without prior refractive operations history.

Clinical Utility

The SRK/T (Sanders, Retzlaff, Kraff / Theoretical) formula is one of the most widely used third-generation IOL calculation formulas globally. By fusing empirical regression techniques with theoretical optical models, it predicts the postoperative Effective Lens Position (ELP) prior to lens implantation, minimizing postoperative refractive surprises.

Related Scores in Practice

In clinical practice, this assessment is frequently evaluated alongside other validated measures. Depending on the patient's presentation and specific diagnostic requirements, you may also need to utilize the Astigmatism Vector Analysis, LogMAR <-> Snellen or the Vertex Distance to formulate a comprehensive care plan.
