When to Use
The Trauma Associated Severe Hemorrhage (TASH) score is a highly validated clinical scoring system used to predict the probability of a patient requiring a massive transfusion (MT) following multiple trauma. It is calculated early in the trauma workup using clinical, radiographic, and laboratory data.
The TASH score is one of the most accurate predictors of MT, consistently outperforming simpler tools like the ABC score in independent validation studies.
Related Scores in Practice
In clinical practice, this assessment is frequently evaluated alongside other validated measures. Depending on the patient's presentation and specific diagnostic requirements, you may also need to utilize the Abc Massive Transfusion Score, Shock Index, or the Map Calculator to formulate a comprehensive care plan.
