ALBI Grade (Liver)

ALBI has been shown to be more discriminatory than Child-Pugh, particularly within the Child-Pugh A cohort. It can identify a sub-group of "Child-Pugh A" patients with significantly worse outcomes who are often over-treated in standard algorithms.

Because ALBI is a continuous score, it can track subtle declines in liver function over multiple cycles of treatment better than the categorical Child-Pugh system, allowing for earlier dose adjustments in systemic therapy.
