When to Use

Prognostic and severity assessment of patients with Chronic Graft-vs-Host Disease (cGvHD).

To guide initiation and tapering of systemic immunosuppression.

Calculating the "Global Severity" for standardized clinical trial reporting.

Patient Population

Patients who have received allogeneic HCT and developed features of chronic GvHD (e.g., sclerodermatous skin changes, sicca syndrome, bronchiolitis obliterans).

How it Works

Organ Scoring (0–3)

Each organ (Skin, Eyes, Mouth, GI, Liver, Lungs, Joints/Fascia, Genital) is scored from 0 (no involvement) to 3 (severe impairment).

Global Severity Classification

Category	Criteria
Mild	1 – 2 organs involved (max score 1 in all) AND Lung score 0.
Moderate	≥ 3 organs involved (max score 1) OR At least 1 organ (not lung) score 2 OR Lung score 1.
Severe	At least 1 organ score 3 OR Lung score 2 – 3.
